Reasons for Establishing the Coordination Office

The reasons for establishing the Coordination Office are explained below under five headings:

1. Enhancing Student Satisfaction

Feedback mechanisms are crucial to increasing students' satisfaction with their education. Through this office, detailed analysis of exam results will be conducted to provide feedback, which is vital for student development. Additionally, the Measurement and Evaluation Coordination Office aims to continuously improve the educational experience by gathering and analyzing student feedback.

2. Public Interest

Universities carry a responsibility to society. Within the scope of this responsibility, the office aims to conduct measurement and evaluation activities for various public and private institutions, and to provide consultancy services upon request to enhance the quality of ongoing measurement and evaluation activities such as examinations and in-service training.

3. Enhancing Collaboration with External Stakeholders

Within the scope of this office, the aim is to provide consultancy services on measurement and evaluation to internal and external stakeholders, as well as to organize national and international scientific events in the field of measurement and evaluation.

4. Efficient Resource Utilization and Generating Income for the Revolving Fund

The Measurement and Evaluation Coordination Office ensures the effective utilization of the university's revolving fund. By evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of educational programs, it contributes to a more rational allocation of resources. This, in turn, helps use the university's financial resources more efficiently and build a sustainable financial structure. Furthermore, it aims to generate revenue for the university’s revolving fund by offering measurement and evaluation consultancy, test administration and analysis, and in-service training to internal and external stakeholders.

5. Improving Educational Quality

A continuous evaluation and feedback process is necessary to boost student achievement and raise educational quality. By managing this process, the Measurement and Evaluation Coordination Office evaluates student performance, reviews academic programs, and develops strategies for improvement.

Objectives of the Coordination Office

The objective of the Coordination Office is to raise the quality of measurement and evaluation activities carried out across university departments; to provide consultancy services on measurement and evaluation to various public institutions; to organize certification programs and measurement and evaluation seminars for employees of public and private sector organizations; to conduct research on educational issues; and to organize scientific meetings such as congresses, symposia, and panels at both national and international levels in the field of measurement and evaluation.

Fields of Activity

  1. Organizing events and developing materials to improve the quality of measurement and evaluation activities within the university,
  2. Undertaking the coordination and oversight of examination activities to be held on behalf of the university,
  3. Ensuring the verification and coordination of data collection tools to be administered university-wide,
  4. Providing consultancy services on measurement and evaluation to internal and external stakeholders,
  5. Offering services and products to meet the data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting needs of internal and external stakeholders,
  6. Organizing national and international scientific events within the scope of measurement and evaluation,
  7. Fulfilling optical form requests, as well as providing optical form scanning, scoring, and analysis services,
  8. Establishing a website to promote and disseminate the activities of the Coordination Office, as well as preparing informative printed or electronic books, booklets, guides, articles, and reports for test takers and test developers,
  9. Conducting measurement and evaluation activities across university departments as well as various public and private institutions, and providing consultancy services upon request to improve the quality of ongoing measurement and evaluation efforts, such as examinations and in-service training.
